During his first year at Cambridge University, Stephen Hawking's life was full of color. He felt as if the world was in his hands and he had a promising future. But to his surprise, his life changed. A rare disease few people had stood in the way of his university life. When he went to see a doctor, he got the saddest news of his life: He had a disease that causes the muscles to become weaker and ends in paralysis (瘫痪).
For someone in his 20s, with lots of promise and dreams, it was no doubt terrible news. What was worse, the doctor told him that the average life expectancy(寿命) for people with his disease was no more than two years.
In one moment, his world broke into pieces. But rather than feel sorry for himself, he made peace with life. He accepted that he wouldn't live long, but he wanted to make his life brighter. He continued studying physics and later,as we know, he made great contributions to the field.
When he lived past the average life expectancy of two years, he surprised everybody. And more surprisingly, he lived for decades more. During those years, he got married and became a father to three children. On March 14,2018, Hawking died in Cambridge, UK, at the age of 76.
Stephen Hawking didn't stop when he had difficulties. He contributed to the world with his strong will. He is seen as the greatest scientist since Albert Einstein. Without a doubt, his life was still colorful and meaningful.

At the age of fourteen, Jos h went to a concert with his elder brother. It was then that he fell in love with music and started writing his music blog(博客). He likes it when readers send him reviews by email about a new band or concert they've seen, and he puts these on his blog for everyone to read. While he was still at school he was careful not to work for too long on his blog, which was difficult as writing well takes time. He didn't think he would write it for much longer because he was busy, and it takes time to post regularly(定期). At university he began writing for his university magazine. He stopped last year because of exams, but he missed it a lot, so he started writing again. He's still writing for it now! He writes about local events and gets ideas from friends when he can't decide what to write about —they always think of something interesting that happens in their town. People are usually curious about things that happen in their community. At first, almost nobody visited his site, but now more and more people are reading his blog and he's had some lovely comments(评论). Josh's friend Peter writes for his school magazine, which he finds really interesting. He doesn't think it's hard to write a good blog. His blog is about things from daily life that happen at his school. His elder sister also has a blog, but she's writing about fashion and posts twice a week. They don't discuss what they're planning, but they read each other's blogs sometimes, which gives them useful ideas. That's why they are successful bloggers.

When you wake up at night with worries going through your head, it can be hard for you to fall back to sleep. Knowing what to do can help you when worries stop you from sleeping. It can feel like you're the only person lying awake with thoughts going around your head in the middle of the night, but it's usual. Worrying at night feels uncomfortable, so it's important that you're kind to yourself. Think about what will help you. That could be waking up an adult to tell them about your worries. By paying attention to your body instead of your thoughts, your brain can calm down. One way to do this is to get comfortable in bed. Then focus your attention on your feet and parts that are in contact (接触) with the mattress(褥垫). Next, move your attention up to your lower legs, then to your body until you get to the top of your head. If you get to the top of your head and you still can't sleep, change positions to make you comfortable again, and then slowly do the same exercise, from head to feet. As this exercise takes time and you have to really pay attention, it can help your brain stop worrying, and then you can fall asleep slowly.
