Mrs. Lee is a cleaner. Every day, she cleans up the streets in Sanya. “There’s usually not very much rubbish here, but after a public holiday, there’s so much more,” she said. Lots of people celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival on the beaches every year. They eat and drink. They have a good time but they leave so much rubbish behind. “There are so many plastic boxes, plastic bags and empty bottles,” said Mrs. Lee. “People should stop using so many plastic bags. They should use the cloth bags to carry their food. They shouldn’t throw away their rubbish everywhere. There’s rubbish on the beaches, in the streets and even in the sea. We have to take the rubbish out of the sea. It takes us three days to clean up.
