How was your sleep last night Let’s check out some sleep habits that may accidentally be harmful to your health.
“Jump scares from alarms”
A young woman recently shared online that she felt uncomfortable after her loud alarm woke her up. It was because the blood supply to part of her brain was shortly prevented, according to her health examination.
“The body changes during sleep, making people vulnerable in the early morning,” Chris from the Edinburgh Sleep Center told Daily Mail. During the later part of the night, the nervous system is less active and most of the body activities slow down. When a sudden noise appears, blood pressure, heart rate and breathing will react more quickly.
Waking up suddenly by an alarm is not a good habit, but it’s difficult for most people to wake up by themselves naturally. A softer alarm may be helpful, giving the body some time to adjust. Another way is to leave the curtains half open before sleep -- the sunshine in the morning can slowly wake you up.
“Sleep late, get up late”
Although the 8-hour golden rule of sleeping is valuable, some young people may go to bed late and then get up late, such as sleeping from 2 am to 10 am. However, this can be problematic since human bodies can tell the time.
An expert said that waking up late the next day could also lead to sleep inertia (惯性), which is a state between sleep and waking. This is why, after oversleeping, people may feel even more tired.
If this habit is serious enough to influence a person’s study, work and other aspects (方面) of life, it may turn into a special illness. Special treatments have already been developed to treat the illness, such as using light to gradually change one’s sleeping habit.
( )26.When did the young woman find the blood supply to part of her brain shortly prevented
A.After she shared online B. After her loud alarm woke her up
C.After she had a medical examination D. After a sudden noise appeared
( )27.What does the underlined word “vulnerable” mean
A.easily hurt B. suddenly woken C. feel sick D. sleep late
( )28.What does the writer really want to tell us about “Jump scares from alarms”
A.Waking up suddenly by an alarm is harmful to health
B.When the alarm rings, we must pay attention to blood pressure
C.It’s not easy for us to wake up naturally
D.Leaving the curtains half open before sleep can slowly wake us up
( )29.What does the writer really want to tell us about “Sleep late, get up late”

Playing is an important part of childhood. It’s fun and it helps children learn skills and stay active. Whether it’s creating imaginary world out of building blocks or simply riding a bike, children love to play and they need toys. But what happens to the toys which are no longer enjoyed, or the bike that becomes too small as the child grows Usually, they are kept somewhere and forgotten. To avoid this happening, we should make it possible to rent (租) toys. That way, they can be sent back and someone else may need them.
If lots of people share toys, it’s better for the environment because fewer toys have to be made. Making toys uses resources such as energy, plastic and wood. It can be bad for the environment. It also means children can have the chance to try out lots of different kinds of toys. Once they are bored with a toy, they can send it back to recycling banks and get a different one from them. I think it’s an environmental-friendly way and it is clean because there will be less mess to clear up at home or fewer cupboards filled with toys.
