Musicians in Vienna
Vienna is a beautiful old city on the river Danube. It's the capital city of Austria and the centre of European classical music. From 1750 a lot of composers and musicians came to study and work in Vienna. The most famous family of musicians was the Strauss family.
There were two composers called Johann Strauss: a father and a son. The father, Johann Strauss the elder, wrote and played music for a classical dance—a waltz. His waltzes made his famous all over Europe.
The son, Johann Strauss the younger, was even more successful and popular than his father. He wrote more than 400 waltzes and his most famous one was the Blue Danube. He wrote it in 1867. Strauss and Mozart were two of the most important composers.
Mozart was born in Austria in 1756. Before he was six he played not only the piano, but also the violin and the organ. His family took him around Europe and he gave concerts in many cities. He wrote his first opera at the age of 12 and hundreds of beautiful pieces of music for the classical orchestra. But he died in 1791 when he was only 35. Some people say he was the greatest European composer.

The tiger was very angry and he jumped into the river. He didn't come out again. Because it can't swim.

The Spring Festival was on February 7th this year. Because Spring Festival is the most important festival in China, so my parents cleaned and decorated our house with me before the Spring Festival. We also bought lots of things in the supermarket.
On the eve of the Spring Festival, we had a big dinner. After dinner, I put on my new clothes, then my father、my mother and I went to the Flower Fairs. Wow! There were lots of kinds of flowers in the Flower Fairs, they were lilies、tulips、peach flowers……, how colorful and beautiful they were! So we took some photos here. We bought some flowers, then we went home happily. We watched TV until midnight. At twelve o'clock, we cheered to welcome the new year and wished each other good luck.

Mother’s Day
One of the best ways to celebrate Mother’s Day is to give your mum the Day off. Let her relax with the rest of the family doing all the housework. Usually, dad and the kids will let mum sleep late that morning as they go into the kitchen to prepare her favourite breakfast. Never forget to place a vase with a single flower on the table beside the food. The kids can pick up the flower from the garden or buy one from the shop. Arrange everything nicely before mum wakes up. Some families will carry the food and mum’s favourite sections from the newspaper to her bedroom so that mum can have breakfast in bed. Presents and cards from the kids can be handed to mum by themselves or just placed on the dining table.
After breakfast, go anywhere mum likes to go. Shopping, swimming or going on a picnic in the garden. Make a special Mother’s Day dinner or take mum out for a great meal in a famous restaurant she loves most.
